“BEI BEI”

Commissioned by the Institute of Production of Space and the Rural Praxis and The Institute of Network Society, we reproduced the prototype of the Beibei urban landscape plan from the 1930s to the 1940s. Since 2020, the institutes have conducted related research on the first city in China’s modern urban planning - now Beibei District, Chongqing. People can log in to “Decentraland” via PC and enter Beibei City, and then they can revisit Beibei City 80 years ago and get a glimpse of the landmarks of Chinese modern urban planning history, such as the General Education Center, Western Research Center, Library, and Beibei Hot Spring Park place.
